The ongoing saga of Cyberpunk 2077 is cardinal of great ups and downs. The hourlong-awaited PS5 and Xbox Serial X versions were deferred into 2022 and, while the state of the gamy has better dramatically over the past twelvemonth, it's quiet furthest from great, or even properly fin de siecle. Scorn that, the impression of the game has turned around dramatically: The Steam version has been flooded with positive user reviews, and it was actually nominated for two Game Awards. (Neither of which it won, by the way.)

The situation also appears to be looking up connected other fronts, specifically the one where Four hundred Projekt got sued all over "false and/or deceptive statements" around Hacker 2077's playability on previous-propagation consoles. The first lawsuit, filed in December 2020, noted that CD Projekt CEO Adam KaciƄski had said the lame runs "astonishingly well" on PS4 and Xbox Incomparable consoles in the weeks prior to its give up, a statement that turned out to be non quite accurate. Initial Cyberpunk 2077 gross revenue were really beneficial, merely Cardinal Projekt's partake in price took a major catch on in the weeks followers its launch, blamed on bugs and study issues that unnatural refund offers from Sony, Microsoft, and CD Projekt itself, and the remotion of the game from the PlayStation Memory boar. That suit was consolidated along with three others into one in May 2021.

That legal action may soon wrapper up with a reasonably happy ending for all involved, however. The studio proclaimed earlier this week that the proceedings in that case rich person been put on hold because a colony is beingness negotiated instead. If altogether involved can come to an understanding, the settlement will be presented to the court for approval.

Naturally, CD Projekt also pointed out that agreeing to a settlement doesn't intend it's copping to anything: "Entering into negotiations concerning a possible resolution should nohow be construed equally sufferance by the Company or members of its Management Board of whatever allegations expressed in the plaintiffs' court filings," it said. Bazaar enough, I suppose.

More eminent than wrapping things up in court, though, is that CD Projekt isn't close away from Cyberpunk 2077. The incoming major update is predicted to arrive in the first quarter of 2022, afterwards which we'll hopefully start seeing the lengthened-delinquent DLC and expansion.

Thanks, VGC.
